Headed off to Frinton to help my aunt move house.  The weather was lovely which makes a change.  One of the good things about Frinton is the high street - whoops I forgot it's not a common old high street, it's an Avenue! well, the best thing about it is free parking and right outside all the shops.

I had already been given a very useful list by Charlotte of all the good places to visit.  First stop was Peggy's place where I had a very good fried breakfast followed by tea cake and coffee.  From outside you might give this place a miss but once inside you realise that you can see the kitchen in full action and the food is very good and cheap.

After looking in on all the shops and having had a good spend at the Hospice book shop (2 carrier bags full) I headed off to see Walton on the Naze.  Which is a lovely place full of character.  After an ice cream on the front I headed back to the B & B Russell Lodge run by Jerry and Hilary Russell, who were wonderful hosts and I have to say provide the most fantastic breakfasts served in the dinning room which opens up into the most beautiful conservatory overlooking their garden.

After an early start we headed off to the new house to greet the removal men.  Unfortunately, the house was not in a good state of cleanliness so it was on with the Marigolds.

We located the Tip!  Then we had a slight detour to Titchmarsh Marina where there is a restaurant over looking the Marina.  Sadly we didn't go in because we looked such a mess and also we needed to press on.

Woke up to the most awful gale.   I went into Walton to visit Michael and Charlotte and see their house for the first time.  The house was wonderful and gave me lots of inspiration for my own.   They tried very hard to tempt me to stay but I had to get back as I was due in Stoke on Trent tomorrow.  Have to say the wind was so bad I was in two minds whether to turn back but felt I had to drive on.  Didn't eat all my packed lunch because both hands were needed on the wheel!
